AMERICEC has the following opportunities for international assignments: GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PLANNING AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE |
US Citizenship, Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Remote
Sensing, Computer Science, Geography, Information Systems, Engineering or
related field with minimum 5 years experience in IT of which at least 3
years must be specialized in the analysis and design of GIS applications.
Candidate should have a solid understanding of GIS coordinate/projection
systems. Proficient in latest ESRI products such as ArcGIS server, ArcGIS
engine and ArcGIS 9.0. Programming experience in Java and Visual Basic
.net for desktop based solutions. Familiarity with geographical data
conversion tools. Excellent communication skills are essential. Work
location is in Saudi Arabia.
1 year initial assignment with potential of
extension for another year. US Citizenship,
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Geography,
Information Systems, Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years
experience in IT of which at least 3 years must be specialized in the
analysis and design of GIS applications. Candidate must be proficient in
the administration of data base management systems. Experienced in spatial
analysis and representation of map data. Solid understanding of spatial
and attribute data. Strong background in GIS software. Excellent
communication skills are essential. Programming skills in ArcObjects are
highly desirable. Work location is in Saudi Arabia. 1 year initial
assignment with potential of extension for another year. US Citizenship, college graduate with 4-7 years experience with ESRI
products and at least 1 year with ArcGIS 8.x, and an excellent understanding
of Geodatabases - their design, modification, population, and archival.
Substantial experience with data capture and conversion from a variety
of formats, including hardcopy and CAD files, is required together with
rigorous data QA/QC. Candidate should be able to assign work to a conversion
team, set and monitor performance, and manage the data team. Programming
skills will be an advantage. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Work location is in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. One year initial
assignment. US Citizenship, college graduates with 2-5 years of experience in application
development. Candidates should possess excellent skills in WIN2K, VB,
VBA, COM, with some experience in Visual Studio and ESRI's ArcObjects.
Experience in Oracle 8.1.7 and working with map data are essential.
A background in water or electrical utility engineering is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills are essential. Work location is in Abu
Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. One year initial assignment. US Citizenship, college graduates with 2-5 years of experience in data
conversion. Candidates should possess excellent skills in preparing
CAD or GIS packages, performing scanning/registration of maps, digitizing,
onscreen editing of vector data, and text attribution. Experience in
ESRI's ArcGIS or ArcView is highly desirable. A background in water
or electrical utility data is an advantage. Excellent communication
skills are essential. Work location is in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
One year initial assignment.
